ARTIST STATEMENT
Glass has fascinated me about 15 years.
Awareness of this material has allowed me to create reality in fairly unusual ways,
mainly based on simple sketches, notes thoughts.
My work is not strictly erotic but the figure of women often symbolizes love.
This is a subjective realism which clearly filters reality for its own sake.
My work is specifically understood as the synthesis of many perspectives
and observation, sometimes in my mirror.
This is a sophisticated type of game, which runs between the glass and I.
When my glass is being viewed I hope the viewer is able to have an emotional
reaction from it, whether it is anger, sadness or euphoric happiness.
Beautiful, obscene and intriguing are the most common adjectives I’ve heard about
my work and consider them to be accurate when describing it.
What is art to me?
Art is my therapy and passion. It helps me get through the rough times,
Keeps my subconscious on the right path.
